Step 1: Initiate a downtime state. #

Step 2: Identify the elements of the dichotomy meta-program (black-or-white; if you haven’t mastered the meta-programs yet, refer to the NLP: 57 Meta-Programs book for details). #

Step 3: Elicit the general lifelong values: “What is absolutely most important to you? #

" (Refer to the Values Hierarchies Identification pattern).

Step 4: Establish a hierarchy of values and prioritize the most important ones. #

Step 5: Identify the containing / storage location of each highly important value: “What image do you have in the context of considering this value? #

Where is that image stored in your mental space?”

Step 6: Enter the timeline, advance 15 years, and repeat steps 2 through 5. #

Step 7: Break state. #

Step 8: Enter the timeline, move backwards 15 years into the past, and repeat steps 2 to 5. #

Step 9: If necessary, change a value in the values hierarchy by moving it along the timeline. #
