Instructions #

Embedded commands are an effective method for communicating directly with the unconscious mind. A practitioner can deliver instructions or suggestions that bypass the conscious mind and directly influence the unconscious by strategically marking out specific words or phrases.

This is done by changing the tone and volume of one’s voice while speaking.

A therapist, for example, may say to a client, “You can relax deeply now and find yourself feeling better.” The embedded command “relax deeply” is subtly emphasized, directing the unconscious mind to comply.

When a client is dissociated above their time line during time line processes, an optimal opportunity to embed commands and facilitate deep trance states for effective therapeutic outcomes is created.
