This exercise recognizes the importance of drawing inspiration from others, whether they are ancestors, historical figures, or even unknown clients whose stories have touched the client.
It encourages the client to consider how they can incorporate the qualities, values, and lessons they admire in these clients into their own life journey.
The client gains a better understanding of themselves and the potential impact these clients have on shaping their worldview and approach to challenges as a result of this process.
The exercise helps the client articulate the specific qualities that inspire them and brings those qualities to the forefront of their awareness by identifying key words or phrases associated with each person.
Furthermore, this exercise encourages the client to apply these various points of view to their current problems.
By considering how these inspirational clients might view the client’s problems, the client can gain new insights and alternative points of view that can help them develop problem-solving strategies.
This exercise allows the client to experiment with new approaches and possibilities that align with the values and wisdom of those who inspire them.
