Optimism is a mindset or worldview that is characterized by a positive expectation, hopeful outlook, and belief in the possibility of favorable outcomes. It entails focusing on possibilities, having faith in oneself and others, and viewing challenges as opportunities for growth.
Optimistic people view setbacks as temporary and specific learning experiences that can be overcome with effort and resilience.
Pessimism, on the other hand, is characterized by a tendency to anticipate negative outcomes, emphasize limitations and difficulties, and harbor doubts about success.
Pessimistic people tend to dwell on past failures, anticipate future problems, and see obstacles as insurmountable. They may approach situations with skepticism and expect negative outcomes, frequently anticipating the worst-case scenario.
