This meta-program is concerned with how people position their focus when evaluating things. Some people have an internal focus, making decisions based on personal relevance and individual factors. They make decisions based on their own experiences, values, beliefs, and thoughts.
Clients with an external focus, on the other hand, rely on the opinions and influence of others. They seek external validation, rely on the opinions of others to guide their decisions, and may place a high value on fitting in and seeking acceptance.
Understanding this meta-program can shed light on how people process information and make decisions, highlighting the different levels of self-reliance and external influence in their decision-making processes.
