The belief that abilities are fixed and unchangeable characterizes a fixed mindset. Clients with a fixed mindset avoid challenges, give up easily, and see failure as a reflection of their abilities.

Others’ success may make them feel threatened, so they avoid constructive criticism. A growth mindset, on the other hand, is based on the belief that abilities can be developed and improved through effort and strategies.

Those with a growth mindset welcome challenges, persevere in the face of adversity, and view failure as an opportunity for learning and growth. They are inspired by others’ success, welcome constructive criticism, and are willing to take calculated risks.

Clients who adopt a growth mindset open themselves up to greater possibilities and the potential for personal development and achievement.
