Creating unnecessary worries can be a coping or defense mechanism that people use to distract themselves from dealing with the underlying source of anxiety or discomfort.
People may temporarily shift their focus away from more serious issues that may be causing stress or unease by focusing on trivial or unimportant concerns.
These anxieties act as a form of avoidance or procrastination, allowing people to maintain a sense of busyness or preoccupation while avoiding confronting the root causes of their anxiety.
